Red Opal® Premium Chia Seeds are one of nature's
best sources of Fiber, Protein and Omega-3's.

They contain more nutrients than fish oils and more Omega 3's and nutrients than flax seed. Chia is a very easily digested protein source, allowing your body to benefit from it more effectively, helping to increase endurance and building of muscles and tissue. The chia seed can absorb up to 10 times its weight in water, helping to prolong hydration and retain necessary electrolytes in your body fluids during exertion and exercise.*

Chia seeds are high in Omega-3s fatty acids (ALA). These oils, the unsaturated fatty acids, are important as your body needs them to help absorb the fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E & K. Chia seeds are also a rich source of calcium, with over 6 times more calcium than whole milk, gram for gram.

Red Opal™ Premium Chia Seeds have a pleasant mild taste with none of the unpleasant flavors of flax seed/linseed. Our Chia Seeds do not contain Linamarin (a cyanogenic glycoside) which is a toxic compound found in flax seeds. Unlike flaxseed, chia seeds can be stored for long periods of time without becoming rancid.

Red Opal™ Premium Chia Seeds are non-GMO, Gluten free, contain no trans fat, and are cholesterol free. Chia seeds are considered Kosher.

You can sprinkle the whole seeds onto salads, cereal, yogurt, sauces, and many other foods. You can also grind the seeds (you can use a coffee grinder) or and mix into slected ready to eat foods, or add it to breads, muffins, and many other baked goods. Ground seeds should be refrigerated. You can add one tablespoon of chia seeds into an 8 ounce glass of water or fruit juice, stir and let sit for about 5-10 minutes, then stir again. You can either drink it then, called a chia fresca, or store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, adding the versatile gel to foods, it can act as a fat replacer in many recipes.
